Comm. v. S.D. - Pittsburgh Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness - ARD

|

Defendant was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, disorderly conduct, Resisting Arrest, Public Drunkenness and Purchasing Alcohol by a minor stemming from an incident where he allegedly possessed alcohol on school property at his Pittsburgh area High School. When approached by school officials and local authorities, the Defendant purportedly resisted arrest and fought with arresting officers.

Defendant was arrested and charged with the numerous offenses and contacted our law firm for representation. Defendant had much at stake pending on the outcome of this case: He was a high school senior with a spotless criminal record, he was already accepted to numerous colleges to begin in the fall, and he was facing felony charges, jail time and maximum fines.

At the preliminary hearing, Attorney Walker negotiated with school officials and the prosecutor to have the felony charges dismissed and the permission for the Defendant to be admitted into the ARD program where his charges would be dismissed upon successful completion of classes and community service.

The Defendant was able to graduate high school without a criminal record and successfully continue with his collegiate career.
