Comm. v. E.M. - Not guilty of Pittsburgh Underage Drinking Charge

Posted By Frank Walker Law || 3-Jul-2014

Defendant was a high school student in the Pittsburgh area. While attending a local house party, a fellow classmate had managed to purchase alcohol for other classmates, most of whom were under the legal age to possess or consume alcohol.

As the house party continued, the local police were contacted in response to a noise complaint. Upon arrival, the Police spoke with several students and issued several citations for underage drinking, fake id and public intoxication.

Upon receiving the citation, the Defendant contacted our firm and Attorney Walker agreed to accept the case. Attorney Walker contacted the officer and directed the client to complete certain classes and community service hours. The Defendant was unsuccessful at the Preliminary hearing but appealed the matter by filing a summary appeal.

At the Summary Appeal hearing, Attorney Walker was able to obtain a Not Guilty Verdict for the Client and maintain her clean criminal and driving record.
