While in law school at West Virginia University College of Law, Attorney Walker earned a coveted position on the prestigious National Moot Court Team where he competed among all members of his entire law school class and was chosen as one of the top Appellate Advocates to represent West Virginia University on a national level at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Attorney Walker also found time during his busy law school studies to volunteer for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program initiated by the Internal Revenue Service to assist low-income citizens of Morgantown, West Virginia and students of West Virginia University on simple and complex tax returns.

Prior to law school, Attorney Walker graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Marshall University; was Twice elected as president of the Student Government Association at West Virginia State College; voted citizen of the year by the Xi Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated; and unanimously voted as the Freshman Athlete of the Year at West Virginia State College by excelling in Football, Basketball and Track all while carrying a full course load.

Attorney Walker also served as an auditor for Chubb Insurance in Pittsburgh, where he amassed in excess of $1.2 million in savings, and as a law clerk for Dominion Resources, where he concentrated on labor law and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Attorney Walker served as an educator and counselor for Shawnee Hills in Charleston, West Virginia where he worked directly with at-risk teenagers, assisting with curriculum, treatment plans, short- and long-term goal setting.
